The Lucas-Kennedy Foundation Is Now Registered in the U.S. System for Award
Management (SAM)
─────────────────
The Foundation is now officially registered in the U.S. Government's System for Award Management (SAM). This important milestone significantly expands the Foundation's ability to collaborate with the United States Government and other organizations to advance sustainable development across Africa and underserved communities.

SAM registration is the gateway for organizations seeking to do business with the U.S. federal government. It enables eligible nonprofit organizations to pursue federal grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts while increasing visibility to federal agencies seeking qualified partners. By completing this process, the Lucas-Kennedy Foundation has strengthened its organizational capacity and positioned itself to compete for a broader range of funding opportunities.

Registration in SAM demonstrates that the Foundation has met important federal requirements related to organizational identity, financial accountability, and eligibility to receive federal awards. It also signals the Foundation's commitment to maintaining the high standards of transparency, compliance, and stewardship expected of organizations entrusted with public resources.

With this registration, the Lucas-Kennedy Foundation is now better positioned to pursue opportunities with federal agencies whose missions align with the Foundation's work, including those supporting:
  • International development and humanitarian assistance
  • Agriculture and food security
  • Water resources and environmental sustainability
  • Public health
  • Education and workforce development Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)
  • Climate resilience and natural resource management
  • Economic growth and entrepreneurship

In addition to expanding access to funding opportunities, SAM registration allows the Foundation to pursue partnerships as a prime recipient or subrecipient, collaborate with universities and research institutions, and participate in multidisciplinary teams competing for federal projects.
